About Pedal & Park
Pedal & Park provides free parking for bicycles and rollerblades at public festivals and events in Central Indiana. We do this to encourage use of non-motorized transportation alternatives, promote use of trails and greenways, dispense relevant recreational literature and raise funds for the partnering not-for-profit organizations. Now in our 15th season, we have parked more than 45,000 bikes.
Our bicycle corrals are continuously monitored by volunteers from our program partners or event hosts. To volunteer, or if you have other questions or comments, send email to Pedal & Park Program Manager Alan Rainey.
Our free bicycle parking is made possible by a sponsorship from the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). The proceeds from that sponsorship are shared by the participating not-for-profit partner and event organizations.
“Our support of Pedal & Park is an investment in transportation system efficiency and regional health,” says MPO Planner Jeremy Moore. “Programs like this one encourage people to use their bikes for transportation, not just recreation. That improves traffic flow, parking, area mobility and regional air quality for everyone.”
Pedal & Park enjoys major support from the local, not-for-profit partners shown below.
